Yehaaaaaw I just finished installing Zane's Live Thang on my 8N and tried it out with a dirt scoop--lowered the scoop shoved her into reverse filled the scoop raised the scoop put her into 3rd and off I went-all with the PTO disengaged. what an improvement! I'm tellin you boys if you can afford an 8N and do work with her, then you can afford the Live Thang, best dang money I ever spent. A ton of thanks to you Sherman. Jim

So glad to hear that you are happy with the LIVE THANG live hydraulics. I just can't believe that nobody else has ever done this after over 60 years of Ns. I think it may have been the fact that earlier pumps were so bulky that it would have been almost impossible to fabricate it like I have done. Also the cost of the components have really fallen and that is what prompted me to begin fabricating them.

Have fun! Zane

Had lunch with Zane yesterday and got demo of live thang. I was thoroughly impressed with its simplicity and effectiveness. It makes owning an N and keeping it from now on a must. I just have to rathole enough money over the next few weeks to ge me one for my keeper "N".

Other than the hydraulics the 8N is a fun tractor to use I also have a Ford 850 that I did all my work with (prior to the Live Thang) because of its live Hydraulics. Well the old girl is going to be a hanger queen untill the 8N gets ahold of something she cant handle. Jim
