Lift piston and part #'s How does the leather ring stay on the lift piston when it's right on the end of the piston and there's nothing holding it on? Also when I took the lift cover off I notice the back pressure rubber seal look a little distorted is the normal or do I need A new one. The lift piston was the old type to and was scared up pretty bad I think I will replace with the new style. I took the lift cover off and repairing it with help of a manual from Zane It's easy to follow and well worth the money, thanks Zane. Now for Part #'s does anybody have these for A NAA, Unloading valve O ring, New style lift piston, Back pressure valve rubber seal.
Thanks,
Jeff

The leather backup ring goes in the same grove as the O Ring.. Soak it it HOT water for 20 Mins to soften. It still seems like it will break But if you are patient it will go on..It goes on the side of the grove away from the oil supply.
I just did mine on the 9N. Big improvement over the old steel rings.. If Scratched up hone the cylinder first...
