I have a 2N with an 8N Hyd. pump and top cover . I posted a few days ago about replacing the ram piston and got a lot of help . Now here is the next problem . The position control lever has always been in the upright position since I bought the tractor and would not budge . When I took the top cover off , I noted that the control link was bent and had some signs of rubbing against something . I straightened it out , replaced the cam pin and adjusted per the FO manual specs.

Everything seemed to work OK when I tried it on the bench . When I put the cover on the tractor , the position control lever would not budge . There are 2 cast ribs near where the rear end housing and center housing meet .The control cam is hitting the right hand side casting . Has anyone ever had a problem with this ? Do any of you guys have 8N hydraulics on a 2N ? Does an 8N have these ribs inside ? They do not look like they would interfere with "stock" 2N hydraulics . I think that all I would need to do is to relieve the casting by about 1/2" to 1" but woul like some advice 1st. !

Please Help !
