Got my 2-Part Axel Nuts but am just a little hazy on how to install. If the first part nut is installed at 450 pounds torque, won't it strip axel treads since the 2nd nut is what pushes the 1st nut's threads down into the axel threads? It's impossible to put both nuts on together because a key is installed between them.

The only thing I can think of is that the 1st part nut has new threads and may hold up to 450lb?? torque?

Thanks, Dell. I'll give that a try.

Frank..... ...my 2-part squeez'em tighter rear axle nut doesn't have a key between 'em. I am able to line up both parts with a little squeeze and torque the main part 450 gruntin ft/lbs (using a 4' cheeterbar) then slide the 1 7/8 socket out justa tad and honk down on the squeezer nut..... ..Dell, who reminds the OEM rear axle nut does have a snap ring
