Am I to assume that since the generator passes all bench checks and motors fine, cleaned and re-assembled and still battery voltage everywhere that it must be the voltage regulator? Also I polarized it again. Can I check the output of the regulator? Thank you very much for all your help. Paul

Take the "A" and "F" wires off the generator. Ground the "F" terminal. start tractor and measure the output from the "A" to ground with a volt meter. This will tell you if the generator is good. IF you put the wires back on (they run to the G and F terminals on the regulator) and dont get voltage at the B terminal on regulator, then voltage regulator is bad.
