Hey guy's, I want you to check out this tractor out on ebay. The item#1704264906. They say it is a 1958 ford 9N with woods mower. Its more like an 8N, Thought you might like to see it. And another thing, Did anybody see the Olympics last night??? I did and I did not like what I saw. The canadians had a perfect run on the figer skating and the russans had a little mess ups and then the chinese girl fell during their skating. So when it comes down to the medals, The Russans got the gold,The Canadians got the silver, And the Chinese got the bronz. The Canadians did NOT deserve what they got, They should have gotten the gold!!! The Chinese did not deserve what they got either. Sorry for the long post, I know you probbly didn't want to hear about the Olympics either, Just had to blow off some steam. TractorMike

What is a 1958 9N.
We thought the last year of the 9N was 1943
The last year of the 8N was 1952
Are we misled or is someone else

I don't like amateur sports. Worse thing than pro sports. first yous starts out as amatuer then it leads to pro sports then big money contracts, fast cars drugs and jail.

Sorry I wont. I like to have fun with the idiocy of these OT subjects. You might as well incarcerate amatuer athletes one way or another we pay. we pay for big name sports heroes, bug games, big tickets and big stadiums from our taxes. The way I see it if amatuer sports leads to drugs, fast cars, steroids, heroin use and eventually jail time we pay for them people too from our taxes. We pay for big prisons, big gaurds and big names behind bars. Its all the same to me one way or another you make a choice and you pay for it. Lock them all up is what I say as soon as the graduate from college you might as well put them jocks in prisons.

That's why I don't watch figure skating (or gymnastics either for that matter). I remember a local sportswriter years ago comparing it to ballet. Does it show talent? Of course. Does it require peak physical condition and training? Absolutely! Is it a sport? Don't think so. Might just as well have every country send a ballet troup and have them all perform Swan Lake, then give them scores to determine the winner.

Don't agree with you about it not being a sport!

Like other sports, figure skaters today are doing moves today that were considered physically impossible ten and twenty years ago. Take a look at some old film of figure skating from the 30s and 40s. It looks laughable compared to today's athletic achievements.

Of course, if YOU can do a quad lutz, I guess I'd respect your opinion and agree that it isn't a sport. It's just a dance move, after all.

I don't disagree that it's very athletic. And no, I couldn't possibly duplicate those moves. I suppose it's a matter of definition as to what is "athletic" "art" and "sport". Maybe the line blurs between them. Or maybe the line blurs between them to varying degrees depending on the perception of the observer.

I see your point, but somewhat disagree. Yes, the Summer Olympic Games include Ballroom dancing. But just because there are no hard points doesn't make it a non-sport sport. In football, a sujective penalty could be called on every scoring play, thereby negating the score. What about boxing? It is a subjective scoring system. Anyone could win if the judges are corrupt, with the exception of a knockout.

Just goes to show you.....if you can't time it or keep score, it isn't a sport. Get those curling people back in primetime, and put the skating on at 5 am in the morning.
Take Care

Go Canada..eh?

I was watching last night and I think the crowd let the judges know what they thought. There were some very loud boos!

We was robbed!!! It's a shame that the politics of the judging force the actual skating to a secondary role. The first American couple deserved the bronze at least. Hint to the Canadian judge; Since the voting is bogus anyway just give us a 6.0 OK! StuK
