This last weekend, I hired a front-end loader to dig up hundreds of mesquite tree stumps. Consequently, the pasture is rather "bumpy" (to say the least).

The guy that did the work said I could attach a portion of a chain link fence and a railroad tie to level the pasture.

I am in hopes that some of you may have used this technique.....and....if so, can you please provide me with construction details and proper use of this technique?

Going back next weekend....can't stay away!

TIA

Terry; It is an odd way to do it but if n you could get your hands on an old metal bed spring or two and tie to your tractor. I've used them several times and works great. Wife didn't like it when I brought it back though.

I'll try them all in one post

For a pasture drag I took two railroad ties, six foot of chain link farbic, ten foot of chain and a few staples and lag bolts. Lag bolt the chain to the ends of one tie so you have something to hook to the draw bar. Staple the fabric to both ties so it lays on the ground between the ties. I would have to move a bunch of snow to take a picture of mine but if this isn't clear post or e mail me and I will go deeper into it

Nineteen inch tires were factory but even dealers put on a lot of sixteen inch rims after market. You aren't going to find any 600X 16's except in the restoration tire market. I just use whatever the tire shop has in used sixteens as I tear up a lot of tires.

Voltage at the coil depends on whether you have a front or side mount and whether you have a six or twelve volt coil. More information and somebody will be more specific. Since I am not a twelve volt conversion fan I don't have those numbers handy

Your mileage may vary
