Snow Plow

As the name might imply I use my 51 8N mostly to plow snow. And under normal conditions the Maine skies don't let me down. We got our first snow yesterday, only an inch (although a foot fell just north of me), but the old girl was just itching to have at it! (I could tell!!) Last year I blew a head gasket early in winter and with no indoor work place she had to wait till sprin to run again. This year I'm hoping for more play time, esp. with my new headlights for night time plowing adventures!!.

By the way for all you would be snow folks, my 8N starts all winter with only occasional trouble in wet weather and will push quite a pile of the white stuff with a front mount plow. Traction is key, so I have liquid fill and chains. Don't put the old girl away just because it's cold out!! The fun has just begun!!

I'm glad you guys are lookin' forward to a good time plowing snow - I'm always happy to see folks enjoying themselves.

Myself, any time I see any white stuff I figure I'm still living too far North. Who knows how far South that nasty "atmospheric crystallization" might drive me eventually - Arkansas, Louisiana, Guatamala, whatever it takes.

Well, any time it's "a** deep to a tall Indian" up there, just remember the words "Oh look, dear, it's a Winter Wonderland!". Y'all have fun pushing it around, though! :>)

Keep us posted!

The Vermont Highway Dept. just closed Rt 108 through Smugglers Notch on Sunday. They had a foot.
So far all we have had here in the Valley is a dusting, but I am looking forward to piling white stuff for The Girl to slide on!
