I have a 2n that was starting and running fine untill it quit. Now it wont start I have tried everthing replaced plugs, points, coil and 12 volt resestor.I am getting good spark to the plugs but no gas to the plugs so I rebuilt the carb. The carb has plenty of gas in it but just wont get to the plugs I also checked the compression its ok

Any suggestions

Mike..... .when you claim your sparkies are good, what is your proof? If your sparkies are good and your engine won't start on "quick start" sprayed in the carb throat, then it doesn't cough, I'd say your sparkies are still bad. But if it does cough, then the chances are 1) ya' got the firing order mixed up. Its 1,2,4,3 CCW. 2) there is always the possiblity that your carb is still plugged up. 3) and there is still the possibility that your intake manifold is clogged/cracked/blown gaskets. Remember your carb choke is suppost to be open unless you pull the lever. 4) last possibility is you got your govenor rods backwards.

As I kept reminding my ex-wife, I flunked mind reading..... ..Dell

Try some starting fluid. Also, remove the air cleaner tube and put your hand over the carb air intake. Have someone crank the engine and see if there is suction. You could have a manifold leak. Also, unscrew the little plug on the bottom of the carburetor and see if there is gas in the bowl. While you have the air cleaner tube off, check the action of the choke.
