When I bought my 8n back in May one I my neighbors stopped by to take a look at it. He said "it's cute but not good for much of anything,no live PTO and all." I just let it slide. (He's got a green tractor)Well the phone rang about 6:30 last night and it was my neighbor. (the one with the green tractor)Seems he was trying to dig some post holes at the edge of the lake so he could build a retaining wall.He got off into the edge and sunk it plum to the axel.He wanted to know If I would drive my tractor down and give him a hand. I said I'd be glad to.So me and "ole Hap"(that's what I call my 8n)went down there and hooked on to that green tractor and snaked it right out of the lake. Didn't even grunt real hard. After we unhooked my neighbor was thanking me and and could't beleive how easy it was to get out. I just looked at him and said "Yeah, it's real cute ain't it"

I have a '48 8N, one previous owner and dead original. I work it all the time. However, it's just a matter of which neighbor gets which tractor stuck first and is pulled out by the other. I've been there.

My blood runs JD green with yellow corpusels & I drive a 8560 or 8850 all day. But it seems that I still must put so many hours a week on my 2N to be right with the world, even if it's just a ride through the stubble field. Play safe Rusty 2N

Wish you had thought to have someone follow you with a camera. We could make great Christmas cards out of a shot of that. A live video would have made the 6:00 news. My fishing buddy is a chevy man, and loves to pull fords out when it snows. Hope your not a ford man, or you won't think much of that. Dale in VA.

I've seen all makes stuck on the side of the freeway, usually caused by false security of a 4 wheel drive by going to fast for conditions. I've also had a Jeep too, but got it stuck in the backroads where no-one else was around, thanks to the winch, I got out. Stan
