I accidentally swung my office door open too quickly and it hit my computer which was sitting slightly off the edge of the desk. The computer was in the middle of a boot-up and it crashed my C drive. I had to reformat, repartition and reinstall Windows. I lost all my programs and pictures and web pages. What was that about back ups? Have you ever tried to back up a multi-gig without a zip drive? Tell me again how computers make our lives more productive?

You might consider installing a second HDD for backing up to. Its fast and they are cheap.

Up until last year , I never had any interest in a computer, after health problems that would not allow me to work on my best hobby ( get a tractor going), I thought maybe I would try and learn computers. I also thought computers were to make life easier, boy was I mistaken. But then I learned of the YT boards and have enjoyed fighting with them every day since.I quess you can call it more productive, although sometimes I think a good weight hammer would satisfy better. :^(
