My 52 8N has wheel centers that are not round, but scallopped between the bolts that hold the rims to the disc. What would these centers have been correctly installed on? I have a feeling they got put on when the original rims were replaced.. ( Funny thing, the replacement rims need replacing now due to calcium....Oh well!)
Thanks!

Hey Truck, thanks for asking the question. I have the same rims on my 1950 8N. I'm sure they were replacement rims since the outers are not original. I've wondered if they are acceptable as a restore item. I've been wanting to ask on this board but haven't got around to it. Last year when I bought my Jubilee, I went to replace the tires and the tire shop had to use a saz-all to get the tires off. It was also because of calcium. I'll stick to air in my tires.

I think the scalloped disks came out on the hundred series. My 850 has them and I know of a 600 with them. I have and early 4000 that has one scalloped and one solid disk. ??? ray

Sounds like 36-39 Ford car wheels. I believe the hubs and all will fit on the tractor spindles.

Actually I was referring to the rear wheel discs as being scallopped..But as long as we are talking front wheels, I had a pair of model A Ford front hubs, five lugs, mounted on a parts tractor. I found out the large Ford 1/2 ton lug pattern was the same, and now I can use up all my wide 15 inch tires on my tractor. Might be just the ticket for someone needing "turf" style front tires.(Of course keep the 6 lug setup for later restoration!)
