Well, after nearly three years, my '44 2N is done. Long story as most are, but suffice to say I learned an awful lot in that time period. Thanks to all you out there (Zane, Bari, and Ed G take note!) who gave good advice and helped me out of most spots I got myself in.

Here's the pic (assuming I did this correctly) of the beast after. I'll send the before shot later, since this post looks like it will only give me one URL. Won't bore y'all with the messy intermediate shots right now!

Thanks for the comments. I used (Heaven Forbid) NAPA Engine Enamel spray bombs #7897 Ford Gray- it was the closest match to the original gray under the hood. Used the blue on the bumper and grease caps 1) because I had it for the grille emblems and 2) because it matched the seat cover I got at the Ford- New Holland dealer. It is equipped with a "Zane Thang", which has a red part that I need to paint out sometime. The rims (and if you look closely, the hubs themselves) apparently come from a late 30s Ford car- the hubs even have the brake shoe flange. Most of the tractor bearings are the same, however. I haven't gotten any accessories such as running boards or a toolbox because any money my wife let me have went to make it run (like the tires, wires, battery, radiator work, etc).

Been bushhogging and have a 7 foot blade- pretty fun to run!

Nice job George!

I like the blue bumper and front wheel bearing cups. Nice touch! Sets newer bumper apart from the rest of the 2N.

You must be "purist" since you are using just the foot pegs - no "running boards". I like that too.
