2N Documentation

I've just returned from the Rock River Thresheree in Edgerton, Wisconsin. There were maybe 300-400 tractors there including only half a dozen or so Fords. It's a real great event and I highly recommend it to anyone in this part of the world. There was also a flea market at which I bought a couple original 9N manuals. One's copyright 1940 and the other isn't copyright marked. There are a few differences in the details which I'm still exploring. However, one of the manuals had a carbon copy form tucked in the last page. It's called "Ford-Ferguson Owners Installation Certificate. It's dated 12/11/44 and indicates that serial number 9N-1570043 was delivered to Walter Blencoe of Jackson County Wisconsin that day. Interestingly, the model number blank is marked 9N. No wonder folks are confused about 9Ns and 2Ns. Even the dealers called them the wrong model name. Here's a scan of the certificate. I checked the YT tractor registry and this serial number doesn't appear there. However, a number close to it ( a day's production off) does show up.
