I am trying to replace the solenoid on my 1946 Ford 2N tractor. The tractor has a 12volt system (At least I know it has a 12 volt battery!). The starter button is next to the gear shift. You turn on the key and push this starter button to start the tractor. What I am confused on is the solenoid under the battery. I removed it and it has a 1"-2" push button in the rear of the solenoid. Does anyone know if I have replace this solenoid with one that has a push button? It appears that when you mount the solenoid, the button is pushed in (and therefore closed). I am having trouble finding that type of solenoid.
