Reading Redbelly's post the other day about "N's" being good therapy put me to thinking about 10 reasons "N's" are better than shrinks:

10. An N never looks at its watch to signal time to go.

9. An N won't make you a case study at some stupid convention.

8. With an N your session can be as long or as short and as often as you want it to be.

7. The results of a session with an N usually brighten the surroundings for everyone.

6. A session with an N provides you a hypnotic enviroment where your inner-most feelings come forth.

5. You usually gladly spend your money, little or large, on an N per session.

4. What you say to your N is between you, your N and your maker.

3. Your personal experiences with N, sets a good example for your children and others around you.

2. When you're on your N, you get to pretend how it was in your grandfather's time.

1. An N gives you a great opportunity to explore the deeper meaning of life on a forum board.

My thoughts. Yours?

AFTER A DAY OF YUPPY BS, ALL SORTS OF SELF MADE EMERGENCIES OTHERS CAUSE FOR THEM SELVES, I JUST GET ON "granma", 1944 2N, SHE IS 18 MO OLDER THAN ME, AND TAKE A RIDE DOWN THE DIRT ROAD. JUST THINKING ABOUT ALL OF THE WORK THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE WITH OLD GIRL IN THE PAST, THE STEERING WHEEL IS WORN DOWN TO THE METAL, SHE ALWAYS STARTS AND SEEMS READY FOR A RIDE. THE SOLITUDE OF TAKING A RIDE JUST MAKES ALL OF THE BS GO AWAY...HAL

Ok now for the other side of the couch!!
(Or why N's are better than Family Practice)
1. My 2N will never sue me
2. I am not on "call" for my N
3. If I can't fix the N, I can just call it a day and not worry about it
4. I never have to race over to the emergency room to see my N
5. My N never wakes me up at 3am because it has had a problem for the last 3 months.
6. I never have to fight some insurance company to get a set of spark plugs for the N
7. I can stop a surgery on my N because I just feel like finishing it tomorrow.
8. My N never asks me for a prescription for "pain medicine"
9. My N never subpeonas me to court so it can sue someone
10. My N always gets its yearly physicals and never objects to s "shot" (of grease)
OK some of you guys might not think this is funny but it applys to N's and might give some insight into "the other side of the couch". I hope that all of you enjoyed! David

Thanks for the business idea, BBQ! I'm gonna post my 41 9N in the yeller pages under "Behavioral Psychology - Psychotherapy". I could give tractor rides for $120/hr. (they're worth much more, but I don't believe in taking advantage of people).

As for me, the N tractor is the best thing since sliced bread and canned beer. The best therapy available - bar none. It allows me to slow my life down just enough to keep my sanity. Great post, keep 'em coming.

An N wont get jealous if you have another tractor.

You dont have to explain that you have an N to the other guys.

An N wont stand you up for another appointment.

An N is cheaper than a lifetime on Prozac.

You don't have to check into a shrink board as often as you do the N board. Beside that, the music is better on an N than in the shrink's waiting room. L8R----Fred

I could use some N therapy about now. I spent a week of 'vacation' defrosting freezers, stripping WALLPAPER!!!, painting the kitchen, etc. This past weekend was spent tearing out old carpet and pad, then putting down underlayment in preparation for new floors. Hey, you know those guys that do all kinds of crazy, sick, and 'unusual' newsworthy stuff? I've been thinking lately that maybe they're not sickies, perverts, wacko's, etc. (yeah, they are). Maybe they're guys who've been stripping WALLPAPER!!!, painting, etc. and just had a couple things too many go wrong 8^). Maybe if they were just lucky enough to own N's.....

#1. An N never takes you for granted.

If YOU believe that the two of you can do it together, then it will get done. She doesn't think there is any hedge(problem) too high, or log(mental block) too big.

She trusts you and knows that you trust her...

Whether you're working on your N or working something with your N you still have something to show at the end of the day.

Lately it's been busted knuckles for me. Much more satisfying than the confusion shrinks seem to instill in their patients :-)

When I'm driving my N up by the country road, I'm thinking to myself that all the drivers are ooogling my way with envy. I drive proud!!

Then, I look over their way, and only a few are oogling....strange...krazy kalifornians!

You never have to set an appointment to see your N... just open the garage and give her a big hug!!! This will make all right in the world :)

You might not believe it, but a good running n is cheaper than a shrink. Also you can always sell it if you find you don't like it. It's ok to sell. Someone sold me mine.

The ole metal seat on the N won't kink your neck like the shrinks couch!
