I bought a '51 8N with a rear blade attachment a couple of weeks ago for $400.00. It's a sweetheart. Runs good, looks good, burns oil and has JB weld on cracked block. Hydraulics don't hold and there is oil in radiator but no water in oil. I'm tickled. I can hardly wait to start rebuilding but feel like I should wait until winter. She deserves another summer of light duty and relaxation. After watching posts on this board and talking to a friend who has a truck repair and fabrication shop, I've decided to take a chance and have the block welded. Anyway, great fun ahead. This board is a great resource. I've reached page 10 in the archives and have found answers to questions I didn't even know I should have. Thanks.

Remember to take Pictures now and as you go along. When you get to the End of your Project, It's nice to see just how far you come.

And once you start using your Newly Completed 8-N You will probably want to trim every thing on the place so as to NOT let any branches touch the New Paint.

Good Luck with your Project
Jess
