It is awesome to have Internet friends! thanks for asking. We are about 5 mi SW of springfield in a little place called battlefield MO (battle of wilson's creek aug 1861) and THANKFULLY did not see much more than rain. Our house has a concrete closet/storm shelter in the basement, and the wife and three kids all came downstairs and we sang christmas carols between the news reports. It all went 10 mi. north of us. Someone did lose a loved on in Monett Mo, so everyone please be prayin for families, just like we all did for Brian. Hey Charles, where do you call home?
Happy Holidays to ALL

Jim Cox

Hey Jim,

Good to hear the storm missed you. I have a storm shelter in my basement. When we built the house, I chose to pour a floor under the front porch instead of filling in the cavity with backfill. Works great I guess, haven't had to use it, but it might be nice someday.
By the way, I live near Fredericktown, on the eastern side. About 50 miles west of Cape Girardeau.
Charles
