Ok guys, this one should be easy for you N guys. Question: Which brand of paint do most serious restorers use on a late 8N? I am leaning toward the PPG DAR 70075 red and PPG DAR 31657 gray. Everything that I have done before has been Green so I am new to Ford colors.

We used the PPG DAR paint colors you listed on our tractor. They look great. A little early to tell how durable they are, as the paint is only a few weeks old.

For my 9N, I used PPG's DCC Acrylic Urethane Paint. Along with DU5 Urethane Hardner, DP402 Epoxy Primer Catalyst, DP40 Epoxy Primer Gray Green, and DT 885 Reducer.

Bottom line is choose the color you want. I like the urethane paint. It's not cheap but it's durable.
