I will be the first to omit I’m not much of a mechanic so hope fully some one can point me to place that illustrates real good. Kind of like some of those books "Wiring for Dummy’s". If at all possible how to run the wire along the hood and the rear lights. I have the work light and the red rear light. From the switch to that block behind the dash I was told not sure. If anyone can tell me where to find it or how to do it I sure would appreciate it. I got say since I bought my tractor last spring I’ve learned a lot going back through the archives some real good "how to" and sometimes just down right good old stories.

Avinas, I have an autocad drawing of my 8N wiring schematic with front and rear lights work lights, and red tail light, on a 2 postion pull-pull switch, 12vdc. If you have autocad, I can e-mail you the file, or I could also fax you the drawing. I was going to scan and post, but my scanner is down. I am not sure how else to post drawing. Philip.

Avinaz..... .....no matter how tempting the thought, DO NOT WIRE any of your lights thru the ignition key switch. Ignition switch won't hackitt.

Yes, there is a convenient un-switched battery supply terminal on the dashmounted terminal block.

Lotta guys use a 2-wire scheme when wiring old tractor lighting system. 2nd wire is electrical ground back at the battery. There are so many rusty joint connections on old tractors that half the 'lectricty gets used up before it gets to the light bulb.

Lotta guys use a new fused 2-position non-standard headlight switch using the parking light position for the headlights and the headlight position for both the headlights and taillights. Others do it more traditional, 1/2 on parking lite position for taillites, full on for headlites.

The OEM Ford light switch is a 1-circuit fused switch to handle everything. I like my 2-position headlight switch just like my cars, and no, I don't have a dashlight dimmer (grin). Your call..... .....Dell
