Can't get the lift arms down. Checked archives and can't find much help. Does the cold weather affect these? Just filled her up with the heavy stuff. Where do I start? Thanks for any help. I have been reading the I&T and the troubleshooting didn't address lifts stuck all the way up.

Last year I had the same problem with my 2N.
Had to bring it into my neighbors heated garage to thaw it out. There was enough water in the hyd system to cause it to freeze in the up position.
You mention cold weather so I might assume you've got freezing temps there? Remember that water is heavier than oil and your pump draws from the lowest point. Maybe you didn't get all the water out when you changed oil? How is the boot on your tranny shift lever? mine looked tight but still allowed water to get into my hyd system.
You're not alone.
Tomorrow morning before everyone arrives I'm going to sneak off to the garage and drain the oil and flush it out with kerosine. Mine is stuck in the halfway position. Wont go up or down.

What "Heavy Stuff" did you fill it with?

Sounds like the same prbolem that I just had. I think mine is one of the two control valves (intake and exhaust) were stuck probably because I was low on fluid and worked it hard. I took the pump out and rocked the valve rocker lever and noticed that something changed in the feel (See page 99 of the IT). I would pull the plug (Number 14 of FO152 on page 99) and try to rock the rocker lever back and fourth. Oil will drain quickly when you pull the plug. You can do all this while just taking off the inspection plate w/ dipstick without the tractor running. Make sure you have plenty of fluid in the resevior.
