I have a 1946 2N Ford that I have been using for small chores. Checked rad and found a film of oil on the antifreeze. Tractor has been using oil and is due for overhaul. There is no anti freeze in the oil pan. Remved head and cannot see any sign of oil leaking by on the head gasket. Any ideas how oil is getting in rad?

I had the same problem with my 8N. Retorquing the head bolts solved the problem. Be sure to flush the cooling system thouroughly and put in new antifreeze. The oil film on the inside of the block and radiator may not allow a good transfer of heat to the coolant and cause overheating problems.
