I bought this 8N two weeks ago,(proud owner/1st tractor)and the rearend dipstick is missing. If I could get some info I can do without if I knew where to keep the fluid level. Have a different stick, but is it is too long. Info needed: length of stick and how far from the end is the full mark. will get one later, using tractor now. THANX

It took Bill's reply to make me realize what I wrote. I gotta be more careful, unless, of course, the ladies really have inquiring minds.

You can buy a new aftermarket dipstick pretty cheap.

Now come on, isn't that a question of a personal nature?

The full mark on the dip stick is just even with the bottom of the inspection plate. This lets you pull the cover without loosing fluid. Don B has these for a couple of bucks.

Hi TX,
I'm at work now so can't measure my dipstick until this p.m. I'm sure someone will already tell you the length by then. However, if you don't get the info by the time I get home, I will measure mine and post it for you. You can buy another dipstick, but also easy to make one.
Good luck.
