Biggest mess i've been in in a while. i send for the 6volt to 12 volt for my 49 8n and the directions has wires running to and from a junction post. this 8n does not have one. I have read all the archives, no help there. can i get by without it? does anyone have a good sketch of how they wired there 8n? There seems to be a real lack of info. thank you.

Hey Hurl: I have an early 8n and mine does not have a junction post either. My one wire from the generator goes to the cutout then to the amp meter and on to the 12v battery.Has worked good for 15 years. If you ordered the Alt. kit I think it would still work on the same principle.Mine is pos.ground.Good luck..R.M. go to nseries.com and click on wiring diagrams. Or find Claus' site link down below here somewhere in the posts from the past day or two.
