Hi Guy's,I hope someone could post a picture or tell me where I can find one.The FO-4 or service manual do not show the part's or how it all goes together. When I bought the tractor it had a steel angle frame that come's up from both side's of the radiator and back to the dash.I have since purchased the hood minus the battery/gas door. And I'm still looking for a grill? My problem is I'm not sure how this bolt's up to the front end,I have the dogleg's that have the hole recessed in them, but I think there should be some kind of hole or a bracket of sort?I'am not exactly sure what else to tell about it, so if there is anything I need to add let me know.Thank's a bunch Guy's!Jay 2N

The doglegs are attached to the hood with a couple of 5/16 x 1/2 hex bolts.

This pic above is that of the underside of an early 9N. The bottoms of the doglegs don't use external fasteners to attached them to the axle support assembly. There's a bracket spotwelded on the inside of the panel that attaches it to the axle support.

Your 2N, if it has the through hole at the bottom of the doglegs, attach to the axle support assembly with a couple of 7/16" hex bolts.

This is a pic of an 8N.

There's no extra bracket on my 9N that I'm aware of. Mine bolts directly to the end of the front axle support (same place your radiator is bolted to).

Someone with your style dogleg should be able to give ya an answer.

How bout it fellers?

These are the brackets on my '41. I realize this isn't the set up for yours, but I figured it might clear up some questions.

bolt up perfectly to my front axle support.Do you Guy's think the axle support is from a 9N?I see on Tyman's photo of the 8N,it look's like the type bracket I would need?I guess I will just make some,"what cha think"?Jay 2N

Tylers pic (#25) shows the lower brackets on the doglegs that are the the attachment point for the brackets in my pic. If you have the later style thru bolts, I don't know how you would attach them to my brackets. If you want to do some engineering, I'd be more than glad to get you some measurements.

Another thought would be to return your doglegs and get the ones w/o the holes in the side. I'm not clear on what the thru-bolts on the later models hook to, Maybe someone else will enlighten us.

My email is above. Let me know what you come up with!
