Twuz da nite before last and all thru da house not a critter was sturren, but I was going to the head. Looked out da window and what did I see. FROST! and the temp showed 25 degrees. Then I realized I had not checked the coolant on the latest purchase.

The 8N is sitten outside cause the pole barn is not done yet. I did not sleep the rest of the nite.

First thing this morning I went out, opened the radiator cap and I saw ICE! Open the drain and out comes water. This is a good thing I thought.

Set the choke, hit the starter, normally starts on the first crank, not this time. Hit the starter two more times. It tried, then it took off, but what was the smoke.?. the water pump was not turning. First thing out of my mouth was )$(#&$(@&#$($*@*$!!! How could I be so STUPID!

I shut her down and let her sit in the sun with the drain open. Came back out two hours later and the water pump was free. Another good thing!

Hit the starter and away she goes. I let her run a couple of minutes then shut her down. Got some very warm water and kept pouring it in. After running about 6 gallons of clear water thru her. I put in the coolant and water.

Started her back up and let her run for an hour. I kept checking the oil and the coolant and everything looks good. No smoke!!

Moral of this long boring story, CHECK YOUR TRACTOR NOW FOR WINTER. Hope everyone else is as lucky as I was this time.
