Had my 41 9N about a year now and I'm loving it. I came across a Jubilee for sale today, and I'm very interested in it as a working project. I guess I got "the fever". The fellow said he had the tractor for just this summer, and he is not sure if it runs. He said he thinks it's a Golden Jubilee, but he's not sure. What makes a "Golden" Jubilee? When I stopped and looked at it today, I noticed it needed several things: Muffler, Battery, Tires and possibly a radiator. The tin on the tractor looks excellent. The engine appears to be an overhead valve, and has an automobile type alternator. I think I could pick it up for no more than $1,000. How can I identify what year it is? I couldn't see a serial number on the left side of the engine. Does a Jubilee have a serial number somewhere else? I saw NAA7006B (I think) along the side of the transmission. Does that identify the tractor? How can I identify exactly what it is? What's the best way to determine if it may run? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

At first glance a 600 or 800 could be confused with a Jubilee. Go to the site referenced below. It will help you clear up all the questions. If it runs, pay the $1000 and don't say anything.

A burned-out Jubilee recently sold here at auction for $700. The tin was badly rusted and warped, the thing was marginal for any parts that would be usable, save the wheels and axles and chassis. One with good tin, decent tires and paint, realtively intact, running or not should be worth $1K in anybody's yard.
The part number on the transmission case is NAA7005B, so that's probably what you saw, the 5 and 6 being sort of hard to distinguish.

Golden Jubilee and NAA Ford tractors: produced from 1953 to 1954

On early production models, before serial number NAA-22239, the serial number is located on the left front corner of the engine block, just below the manifold. On models serial number NAA-22239 and beyond the serial number is located on the left side of the transmission housing, above and to the rear of the starter, just below a 3"x 6" horizontal flat on a 3/8"x 3" semi-vertical surface. The serial number is hand-stamped onto the semi-vertical flat, not cast into the transmission housing. Format is model designation (i.e. "NAA" or "NAB") before sequential production number.

All jubalee models had a raised center hood and a round emblem in the front saying Jubalee on it. It should be a 53 or 54
