Hello all,

I was hoping to get some opinions and advice from some other "N" lovers to help me make a decision. I've recently aquired a 1945 2N in pretty decent shape. (it runs !) Other than some minor work (new generator, paint work & clean off the grime) it will make a perfectly good work tractor. Is the value of the tractor greatly increased with a "total" restoration ? Or is it more practical to simply do a "decent" job on it (fix what's broke) and keep it a work vehicle. I believe I have the knowledge and experience to do a good job on a total restoration as I've had some experience restoring mid 60's Mustangs (hey, it's still a FORD !) but I simply don't know the tractor market. Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated !

Bob

High compression hubcaps don't make it pull any better in second gear.

No matter what you sell it for, you NEVER recover the cost of a restoration.

How fancy do you want your work tractor to be. As the book on do-it-yourself surgery says, suture self.

Recover the cost of a restoration ? heh heh heh... good one ! Guess that's why my garage is still full of other "restored" toys. I suppose SOMEDAY I'll have to sell them.... or just keep building garages !
