They say a good deal is where both parties think they got the better of the other. Today I swapped my 6-loop rear rims for a decent set of original 8N rims. Also swapped my old center disk that was rusted really thin for another one in better shape. He was happy. I'm happy. Sandblasting after supper. Film at 11:00? Nope. Loaned my camera out this week. Durn.

I can see giving up original rims for newer loop rims, but why would anyone trade a good disk for one that's "paper thin"?

Because he wants me to buy his 1947 2N. The other disk is still good enough to use, but it's not real pretty with the edges rusted off.
