Short version....

Battery slid out of tractor and "took" the wires with it. Previous owner used same gauge wire for all connections. I noticed on another site that I need 10 gauge AND 12 gauge wire.

Question: Should I get solid wire or stranded?

TIA

Stranded...in order to take the flexing....the Auto industry uses stranded wire in 99 % of its applications

Stranded. It takes the flexing better. You can substitute 10ga for 12 but not the other way around.
