I just recently purchased a 1940 9N, Ser# 9N14225 and it is missing the knob from the draft control lever. I have searched ALL of the parts suppliers that I can find on the web. Any suggestions where I might find one?

My knob was cast with the handle. I purchased the whole unit at a bone yard for $50 about 4 yrs ago. Yingling's (bone yard) in Taneytown, MD.

Cookie,
On the left (port) side is the PTO lever which runs thru a round inspection plate. On the right (starboard) side, you have a 3 point control lever which swings in a half moon arc down from the top next to the seat.

ANYWAYS! I was able to locate a throttle rod and lift arm from Falls Tractor for a very reasonable price. Just make sure that the cam on the inside end of the PTO lever (if that is the one you need) is in good shape.

I don't know if they have a website. You can Email Tom at fallstractor@ez-net.com

I cut and pasted Tom's link from my email. I'm not sure, but I think if you use the link the message will come from me and not you!

Hey Layne, Something tells me:

1.Your 8N must be quite something to see.

2. You may be speaking from experience.

3. You are way cooler than any other 13 yr old to love tractors so much!

Keep saving money.
