Over the past few weeks my jube's steering has become gradually harder to turn. Though I think the steering gear box should get 90 wt., but I've always pumped grease into it. I've heard that this is acceptable due to the 90 wt. leaking all over the place. All the linkages, though worn, are all free and greased good, so I'm sure it's the gear box causing the problem. Is there anything else I can do, or should I start shopping for a gear box? Is a re-build possible? What's one of these things cost now days? Anybody got a source for one? Thanks...Gary

They can be rebuilt.I did the box on my 49 212854.I did not have to replace any gears.I did bushings and the upper and lower bearing. The parts are available from your nearest New Holland dealer.Good luck P.S. It's also fun.
