UT Wiring Diagram

I have a 1939 UT which doesn't show a charge nor is the battery wire at the regulator hot. The regulator has four connectors. I attached the G to the armature, the L to the light switch, the B to + side of the ampere meter, and the F to the field. Are these connections correct? (If I hold a wire from the B to the generator case, there is no spark.)

Secondly, is there some way to replace the resistor that was in the light switch. My new light switch is simply an off/on switch.

I have a wiring diagram from Motec Engineering but it is for the two-wire regulator.

Larry - Sounds like you've got a break in the wiring someplace between the ungrounded battery post and the regulator "B" terminal. The wire at the regulator "B" terminal should be hot whenever the battery is hooked up.
