Am currently restoring 1948 UTS and am needing wiring diagram for this tractor. Also was this tractor originally 12 volt. I have been told it was 8 volt. This is confusing, if someone could give any information it would help. I am pretty sure it was positive ground. Thanks Kelly.

Kelly,
Your 1948 UTS came from the factory with a 6 volt positive ground electrical system. You might try contacting Motec Engineering (765-963-6628). They sell new wire looms for your UTS. They may be able to help you out with a diagram too. I don't think Moline published wiring diagrams in their manuals.

A lot of us used to run 8 volt batteries on the UTU's. 6 volt just wouldn't do the job in winter.Running 8 volts was kind of hard on generators.
