The model U was the bread and butter. These are simple, balanced, powerful, common, and run forever even after alot of abuse. I own a U that is wore out beyond belief, but starts and runs well even when all else fails. I guess that could be said of alot of MM's though. The U is the example most old timers would think of though. Rivaled only by the G, it's bigger brother.

Having owned 50+ MM`s over the years, I would have to nominate the 670 Super as the best all around MM tractor. Good power for it`s size and weight, easy handling, improved hydraulics and good gear ratios. Most of the Molines are tough tractors, but the later ones seem to have it altogether.

To me this would need to be split into two categories. I would vote U in older and 670 Super in modern.

Having driven Molines for more than 23 years, numerous models including UDS Dorman, UTS, M5, G1000, and owning several others as "pets", I find it hard to better the M5 for all round performance and reliability, closely followed by the G1000.

it would be hard to pick the best Moline out...I dont think they ever made a bad one...I happen to think that the U and the UB are very good tractors..they are simple and very long lasting, but the R and Z series tractors were also good. as far as the newer tractors I dont know much about them....but I sure would like to have a G1000 vista...I have several U's UB's R's and Z's and like everyone of them

Just took interest in the MM line and haven't heard anything bad about one yet. Working on buying a MM G-VI diesel with FWA.

I own a 670 super,UB special,RTU,ZA and a GB. They are all good tractors. I really cant pick a favorate.

I think the Super 670 was one of the best, although I have an M5 that has 25,000 hours on it and if you figure the cost per hour of maintence,cost of tractor, it's pennies per hour. Not too many can top that.I've "retired" it now and am in the middle of restoring it,and hope by next year we can have it at some shows. Happy M-M-ing!!

John I feel like all the ones I own are the best! No really I think the "G" series tractors where the best. Even though the "U and Z " were their bread and butter sorta speaking. But hey that's my $.02 worth and it's free! Happy molineing!
