Yet another 335 question.

So, the 335's came with a tool box that mounts under the hood. I ordered one. Anyone know if there was anything that came along with the tractor that goes IN the tool box? My grandpa's tractor had a lug wrench in sort of a make-do tool box mounted on the side of the tractor. Is this a MM item? It was painted the corect shade of yellow although it didn't seem to fit any of the lugs on the front or rear wheels. I would say the handle is more than a foot long and is a little bent, probably from some extension or pipe that was used on it. Also, I am considering buying a mini wrench that was for sale. Its about 3 inches long and is adjustable. Did this go with all the MM tractors? Thanks, Steven.

Steven, I think the wrench you are descibing is the wrench that was used to change the width of the rear tire tread. It would fit the big bolts on the rear tractor wheel hubs and when loosen you just slide the hub and all. And yes the little red light on the tail is correct. Gaurd it because they are very collectable and I have seen them sell for over a hundreds dollars at tractor sales. Yes that's right! Some of the tools that would have been in the box would have been 10a679 wheel wrench,10a4088 spark plug wrench, 10a8947 intake valve tappet,and 10a8948 exhaust valve tappet gauge. Oh, and my 335 has sort of a tail light on it. Its rather pointy and has a red lense. If you are looking at the tractor from the back, its on the left fender. Is this stock? And did top-links come with the three point system. Mine is missing one if it did. Would love to have an original.

Yes top links came with the tractor too and they are a little hard to find as well.

Sounds like you want an original top link. But if you can't come up with one, I'm using a regular (read Ford) type top link on my 335 utility with about 2" sawed out of the middle and welded together. It works great.

At work we use a short body top link that is origionaly cat. 2 & cat. 1 at the other. I have some extra cat. 1 ends and on some I replace the cat. 2 end with the cat.1 end. That makes it cat.1 at both ends. This works out well because it is shorter than the standard top links. Email me if you have any questions on this.
