I need to split a JETSTAR What would you use to hold up the back of the engine to roll it away, and what would the weight
be?

I used a large bottle jack under the trans and a cherry picker engine puller on the back of the engine, then rolled the engine forward on the front wheels.

If you are on a concrete floor, make or borrow a splitting stand it is the easiest and safest. Any implement dealer should have a couple you could look at. Tie the torque lever in the forward position before you split.
