What is the largest number of UDLX tractors ever gathered together for an event? How many of them are known to still be around? Is there an official registry for these? Does anyone have any photos of a UDLX Get-Together? Such a fascinating machine! Merlin

A couple of years ago I bought a udlx in the rockie mountians. Tractor is kinda rough,missing grill,front fenders,couple of gages. Had no cab,but I believe it did not come with one.Serial# is 310020x. I shure could use a rough estimate on value.

Merlin,about 75-80 of the (150) UDLX's built are accounted for.I owned UDLX #310552 back in the 1980's and regret selling it.Back then me and several other UDLX owners put together a list of all known UDLX's.I also have a photo album with pictures of quite a few of the known UDLX's left.

I took mine to the 1985 PGR meet at the Waukee,IA show and there were 3 other UDLX's there.In 1975 I passed up a UDLX MM for $300 at Lyons,KS because I didnt know what it was.I also bought a rough UDLX MM at Kingman,KS in 1984 and let a friend have it.They are quite a tractor.

Thanks for the reply! I know where Serial Number One UDLX is located. The owner is Lloyd Monroe of Castalia, Iowa, an avid Moline collector. I have seen his tractors, including the UDLX. I guess that next to the Oliver 80 Buda Diesel (eight were built, five still around), the UDLX is pretty rare. I got to see a beautiful, non-cab model last year at World's Expo in Iowa. Maybe someday!

I saw a picture of a cabless UDLX. It seems to me it was referred to as the Roadster. Would it also have the same UDLX designation as the cabbed model?

Hi,

The Open version of the UDLX Comfortractor was officially designated the Model UOPN (OPN for Open). It's called the Open Roadster by many people. My book contains more info on the UDLX and UOPN--see link.

I know the(Lloyd & Kale) Monroes.I have pictures of their UDLX as they found it and then after restoration.They do great work.If you have seen their 1939 R MM with factory cab then you have seen a tractor that I used to own.They bought it from me in unrestored condition and made a beautiful tractor out of it.

I live in the KC,MO area, where is the closest UDLX that I might be able to see? Are there any out there that haven't been restored? Where can I get pictures of a restored UDLX?
