Propane changeover to gasoline

I have a Jetstar propane and I would like to know how it can be changed to gasoline and can I use the existing Lpg tank as the gas tank - with mods?

Why? - it hasn't sold and I keep saying if it were gas I would keep it, so I'll change it to gas or part out.

Any ideas on how outfit a supply tank so I don't have to have the bulk truck stop by when it runs out of fuel? It has the ensign fuel system and I am told you can no longer get parts for these?

You need what we call a " tractor filler hose" on your supply tank. You will also need a "bleeder" to fit on the vapor return fitting so you can let pressure off to be able to fill without a pump. The Ensign stuff can be replaced with IMPCO and it works very good and in most instances will cut down on fuel consumption. I agree with some of the other guys that I would much rather have LP than gas. Motors just last forever. My 2 cents

Leave it as a propane, It will run much cleaner and better, also you will get a lot more life out of it. My 2 cents

I have a 5 Star that was originally LP. Someone changed it over to gasoline before I got it ~ 15 years ago. They drilled a hole in the bottom of the tank to install the line to the carb and replaced the carb with a gasoline one. They also removed the pressure relief valve from the top of the tank and replaced it with a reducer and nipple & used a pipe plug with a hole in it for a vent. When I got it, I brazed a gastank filler spout from a car tank to the reducer and put a vented cap on it to keep out water & dirt.

It runs fine but you can't lug it much with regular gas or it pings due to the higher compression.
