Bill

The tractor will run but you will experience a lot of problems with icing. The reason for this is that energy (heat) is required to turn any type of liquid into a vapor. LP tractors did this with the convertor (regulator) using the coolant to heat the fuel and the carb only received the fuel in the vapor form. Gas carbs do this at the venturi and use the exhaust to heat heat the intake.

Engine builders used different manifolds for LP because there was no need to warm the incoming fuel/air mixture and cooler air is more dense. More dense air means more oxygen which in turn means the potential for more power.

I know MM on the ZA at least used the same exhaust manifold with different intakes if you are just replacing the exhaust you may want to consult a parts book.

I should work well. If you live in one of the northern states you may need to add a plate over the center of the intake to the exhaust manifold. This will transfer some heat so the carb doesnt frost over.

One guy was on here the other day and he had LP manifolds on a gas tractor and it was freezing up.I have never experienced that problem here because we run LP. You can't keep 5 gallons of gasoline here overnite!
