Local paper has a 53 Moline RT-100 for $300. Anyone know what an RT-100 is or looks like. How much horse power and does it have a live pto?

Actually, I know nothing about MM, currently have a farmall B and a Case DC. But for $300....

I own a model RT-100 with the (hitcher) attachment the tractor was my Fathers. I also have a 2 bottom Moline plow to go on it. I restored this tractor about 6 yrs ago and use it every summer, at the Stephenson Co. Antigue Engine show. The show is always the last full weekend of July in Freeport IL. I run a shingle mill & barrel stave mill during the show. I just called and they said they have a buyer but they have not paid nor picked up the tractor. I told them I would be there within an hour with cash and a trailer. They took my number, said the seller owner was out of town till tomorrow..... we'll see on this one.

Dave D,grab your cash and get over there in a hurry. You don't see that many R's of that late a vintage. The tractor could even have the Hitchor attachment on it that JK mentioned. You CAN NOT LOSE on this one.

An "R" Minneapolis-Moline has RT100 on the side of the transmission case. They are rated at about 24 HP, can have single, tricycle, standard or wide front end. Some of the real late ones had a "Hitchor" which is a sort of 3 point hitch, some had normal hydraulics & some of the very early ones had a hydraulic system using engine oil & a piston pump on the side of the engine driven by lobes on the camshaft. If it will turn over and/or has decent tires $300 sounds cheap.
