I need to find an air breather assembly for a 1938 M-M ZTU. If you know where I might find one, please respond here or by e-mail. Thanks!

This is the air breather unit switched to the other side of the tractor in later model years right? If you are in the Upper Midwest USA here are a couple of suggestions:

Gene's Auto Antique Tractors & Parts in Russell MN (507) 823-4230 has lots of vintage tractors and parts. The owner is Gene Staniszewski.

Balcom Implement in Fairmont MN (see their web site) has a LARGE inventory of Minneapolis-Moline parts. Call Balcom at 1-800-658-2309. Jeff C. Balcom and Lynnie Balcom have been great to visit with and talk Moline in addition to finding needed parts...

Located near New Ulm MN there is Leon Olson Tractor sales with some parts and a good number of vintage tractors for sale(largely J-D). Leon's phone number is (507) 359-7476.

My friend Ernest Maas, farmer and vintage tractor collector/restorer who was featured in the November 1998 M-M Corresponder publication, lives near Walnut Grove in SW MN. Let me know if you want to contact me to call Mr. Maas to see if he has your part, because I don't want to list a private person's phone number on the site.

Otherwise, check out the ads in Antique Power magazine, the Prairie Gold Rush or M-M Corresponder or other vintage tractors magazines.

Jeff,

This is great info. Thanks for responding. You mentioned a few magazines. Can you give me more info on them and how to get them. Would you consider mailing me a back copy of them to see which one I like best before subscribing. If so, please e-mail me and I will e-mail you my address in a private e-mail.

Thanks, Mike
