Pulling jugs apart jet star3

Trying to pull jugs apart on jet star 3. figure i would ask before continuing as i do not want to damage connecting pipe. need to replace gasket.

rebuilding engine, do these need to be replaced?

You do know both jugs have to come off together? Lots of times during OH guys will just put pistons/rods and jugs together on engine as a "set". If just doing gaskets, maybe this is too much work to remove rod ends and pull. Then you would have to open side of engine and all.

Greg,
It depends on the water in your area. In out area the water seems to eat the metal tubes through after a few years so I always remove them and check for pits. If they are pitted replace them and the o-rings, if not just replace the o-rings.
