I have just about finished restoring a 1948B Allis and she does look great..but I have just discovered the whereabouts of a Moline R. She sits in an open shed at a local museum and has been partially restored - the big end bearing, valves and rings have been done and the owner who has already restored 1 says he will sell her to me for about $350 US which includes another R as well. I am not sure what condition she is in, parts availability and wether the engine will need to be redone (its been there a while...at least 2 years) and how collectable they are. She is in pieces and all over the place (I am going to have a look today) but just wanted to ask you guys for your thoughts. I love the look of the moline!
regards
Peter

If you can get 2 R's for that money and make one of them work, you are getting a bargain. Go for it!

I'd take the opportunity to look at it some more. I would probably go for it if your getting another parts tractor in the deal.
