My friend has a m,m G 6, propane, 425 C.I. He wants to buy a 800 C.I. engine and install that Is this possible? In the 150 MM tractors listed there is no propane listed for a G 6. Model 425 B6, serial # 16101634. Is this a 1958 ? thanks

Bill,
You've listed your friends engine serial number. You'll have to locate the tractor serial number to determine the exact year. It's located on the right side of the transmission below the battery and hand clutch arm and above where the belt pulley should be. The GVI LP were built from 1959 to 1962 with serial numbers from 16000001 to 16002352. I'd guess from your friends engine serial number that his tractor might be a 1960 model.

I'm not really familiar with the 800 conversion but try asking your question on the Jeremy Fiorelli's MM pulling discussion board at the following link:>Link

Good Luck!

The motor will bolt right in have to rework the governor to change it to a varible speed. The propane version was common.
