I have a 1952 U MM and wanted to use it on the disk. I couldn't get the hydraulics to work on the disk cylinder. I have oil flowing from one hose when ever the tractor is running. I have heard that these hydraulic systems were made to work with MM hydraulic cylinders. Is this true? Or is there just something wrong with the hydraulics on my tractor? Thank You

Bill is probably right. But if you cant get a MM cylinder you can go to a Graingers or your local hydraulic component place and buy a cylinder and some check valves and pipe it up yourself.

You must use a Minneapolis Moline cylinder with a Minneapolis Moline hydraulic system. The check valves for holding the cylinder in place are located in the cylinder - not in the hydraulic system on the tractor. I'm guessing that you can raise the disk, but it will begin to fall as soon as you return the lever to the neutral position.
