My repair manual is for a 1948 and newer tractor. I have 43 model which needs to have the pressure brought up a little. I pulled the cap nut off the right side of the pump and tried to turn the slotted set screw in but it won't move. Need help!

Thanks in advance.

Wayne

Wayne,

Going from memory on this one. After you take the plug (or cap) off you will find a large slotted lock which you have to loosen with a large screw driver, and you will find there is a hole in this through which you can insert a small screw driver to adjust the adjusting screw. Remember to re-tighten the large slotted lock. All there is to it.
