Your tractor is pretty typical of the way we find them. I think the steering wheel found it's way unto your tractor if indeed that's what it is - a war time unit - as your tractor is an early '41 and unless they re-wrote the history books the Japs didn't bomb Pearl Harbor till Dec. 7. It's worth something alright, but not a whole lot. As for the tractor, it's worth a few hundred dollars, certainly less than a grand the way you describe it, probably about half that or less. The early Z's and U's had that emblem on the grill, but I don't know the cut off date. Take my advise, jump on Pete's offer.

First, the cast steering wheels are not rare. The cast steering wheels were sent out on many of ZT tractors during the war, as rubber was in demand. Worth of your tractor depends on what else is wrong, or right with it. Is it stuck, what do the rims and tires look like. As a whole I would guess you could get around $250 to $300 for it, maybe a little more if not stuck. It really depends alot on how bad someone wants it.
