We're from HOLLAND and have bought a MM but don't know what type it is. It looks like a 445 but on the left side of the gas engine is written M220B4.
On the same plate is also wriiten the number 21302397. Can anybody help us. Thanks.

Hello Holland,
The engine in your tractor is a military spec 220 cubic inch gas engine from the first 3 digits of the serial number (213). If it looks like a 445 you might have a 445 military built in 1958 only. The first 3 digits of the tractor serial number for the military 445 were 157. This serial number should be located on the right side of the transmission case. Most 445 models came with a 206H-4 engine but I'm speculating that the military version may have come with a 220 ci engine.

They have a great serial number reference page that may help you identify what you have. Good Luck!

look on the same side of the transmission that you found the engine tag. You will find another tag there that will give you the model and serial number of the tractor. What you have found is for the engine only.
