I have heard that a KT or KTA(?) one piece head will fit a u moline that has a one piece head. I need to see if any of the MM gurus know, and if it will, wil there be any other glitches. I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance

I need some clarification on this as I've heard some different things. I've heard that the KT and older machines had a KET engine and the U's used a KEF. I know they will interchange as far as heads but also that most of the KT had the lower compression distalate heads. My 47 KEF series has the HC or High Compression head for gasoline. Please help me out with any other info you might have and also to correct any wrong info I might have received.

Yes the engine is known in many circles as the KEF engine. Measure both combustion chambers to assure the compression ratio will remain unchanged. No glitches on this one. I'd have the head magnafluxed at the machine shop to assure quality.
